I am a Registered Psychologist, and see clients for counselling to explore and address a range of concerns and experiences including:

* Depression.
* Anxiety and stress.
* Relationship difficulties.
* Grief and loss.
* Legacies of trauma, domestic violence and sexual abuse.
* Existential issues.
* Self esteem issues.

I utilise a variety of counselling frameworks in my work with clients depending on the clients’ needs.

I consider my work to be eclectic. I draw on approaches from different models depending on the client, the issue they present with, and the different stages of the work. These approaches and models include:

* Psychodynamic.
* CBT (Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy).
* Buddhist-based mindfulness.
* Narrative therapy.
* Relational Psychotherapy.
* Gestalt therapy.

I am committed to providing a safe, supportive and empowering environment where clients can explore areas of concern in their lives, by coming to an awareness whereby they experience greater choice and freedom.

I believe that given the opportunity to meet with one’s problems in a safe and respectful space, a sense of movement can result, leading to a more full existence, and greater self and other- understanding and acceptance.

My fee:

My standard fee is $100 per session.

You need to have a Mental Health care plan from your GP before you see me should you be eligible for this option.

Non-Directive Pregnancy Support Counselling:

Medicare has provided an item to assist women who are concerned about a pregnancy. These services are available to any woman who is concerned about a current pregnancy or a pregnancy that occurred in the preceding 12 months. A GP-referral is required and you are entitled to 3 sessions, which are bulk billed.

These services involve me undertaking a safe, confidential counselling process that helps you explore concerns you may have about a current pregnancy or a pregnancy that occurred in the preceding 12 months.

My role is to encourage you to express your feelings but not suggest what decision you should make. By listening and reflecting back what you reveal to me, I am able to help you explore and understand your feelings.  With this understanding, you are better able to make a decision that is best for you.
