I am a Registered Psychologist and have been working in counselling and welfare roles for over 10 years. I see clients for counselling and therapy to explore and address a range of concerns and experiences including:
- Anxiety, fear and stress.
- Relationship difficulties.
- Grief and loss.
- Legacies of trauma, domestic violence and sexual abuse.
- Existential / life meaning issues.
- Self esteem issues.
- Interpersonal dynamics.
- Workplace supervision.
- Power dynamics in relationships.
- Parenting concerns and needs.
I consider my work to be eclectic. I draw on approaches from different models depending on your needs, the issue you present with, and the different stages of the work. These approaches and models include:
* Family of origin / Attachment-informed work.
* CBT (Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy).
* Buddhist-based mindfulness and compassion practices.
* Narrative therapy.
* Relational Neurobiology – predominantly the work of Dan Siegel.
* Gestalt therapy.
* Existential therapy – predominantly the work of Irvin Yalom
I am committed to providing a safe, supportive and empowering environment where you can explore areas of concern in your life, by coming to an awareness whereby you experience greater choice and freedom.
I believe that given the opportunity to explore your feelings and needs in a safe and respectful space, a sense of movement can result, leading to greater self understanding and acceptance.

I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) under the Psychology Board of Australia, and am bound by the Board’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct (Reg. No. PSY1375296) – http://www.ahpra.gov.au/
I am an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society (Member No. 110876) – http://www.psychology.org.au/
I also provide Non-Directive Pregnancy Support Counselling through Medicare:
Medicare has provided an item to assist women who are concerned about a pregnancy. These services are available to any woman who is concerned about a current pregnancy or a pregnancy that occurred in the preceding 12 months. A GP-referral is required and you are entitled to 3 sessions, which are bulk billed.
These services involve me undertaking a safe, confidential counselling process that helps you explore concerns you may have about a current pregnancy or a pregnancy that occurred in the preceding 12 months.
My role is to encourage you to express your feelings but not suggest what decision you should make. By listening and reflecting back what you reveal to me, I am able to help you explore and understand your feelings. With this understanding, you are better able to make a decision that is best for you.

My fee:
My fee is $120 per session, or $100 for clients who are unemployed, students or on Centrelink.
If you have a GP-referral (Mental Health Care Plan) you are able to get an $85 (approx.) rebate from Medicare. Thus you are out of pocket approx. $35 per session (or $15 if you are unemployed/a student/a single parent).
You need to have a Mental Health care plan from your GP before you see me should you be eligible for this option.
I am not able to provide any bulk billing at this time.
If you do not come to see me on a MHCP, I charge $100 per session. Concession rates are available, so please feel free to discuss your needs with me. I’m happy to discuss these issues.

Cancellation Policy:
When appointments are booked, I reserves the whole hour for you, therefore the following cancellation policy is in place.
I require 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel a session without occurring any extra fees. This policy is in place to allow me to offer the allocated time to another client who may be on the waiting list for an appointment. A $50 fee will be charged for non-attendance or less than 24 hours cancellation of a session.
Thank you for your understanding.
